ABOUT HEAD INSTRUCTOR, BILL HOSKEN

Bill started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Southern California in 1995. He has trained with some of the greatest BJJ fighters and coaches, including Rigan Machado and his brothers, Bob Bass, Pedro Carvalho, Betiiss Mansouri and Rodrigo Teixiera. Bill continues to learn so his students are aware of new developments in BJJ, bringing in techniques from wrestling and other sports. Bill is aware that what works well for him might not be the best for every student, so he presents a variety of approaches and options for each technique. Students develop their own game or style, and Bill’s coaching style is flexible to accommodate each student’s strengths and limitations.

Bill earned a black belt under Rigan Machado, and competed in numerous grappling tournaments. His army certifications include Combative Level 4 Certified and authorized by the Army’s Combatives School to teach Combatives Level 1. He is also Combatives Level 1 Certified .

He received a certificate of appreciation from the US Army for his years of teaching their soldiers.

Normally the class size ranges from 10 to 20 people.
we have changing rooms and showers.
Plus we clean the school with disinfectant every day, most of the other school do not even clean their schools.
I can honestly say we do have the best school in town !
When do plan on trying us out ?

Hi, I’m active duty military stationed overseas right now. I’ve been looking for a studio to send my nephews for some BJJ training. I do BJJ myself and I’ve offered to pay for my nephews (and my brother finally agreed). How young do you teach? My nephews are 5 and 10. If I decided to send them to this studio, is there a way I will be able to set up payments (to include their gear)?

  18. Duran Hayden says:

    Bill,

My name is Duran Hayden. I currently was recommended this school by David Cardenas he is a student in the BJJ classes. I am not a fan of hitting the gym and lifting weights so I figured this would be a more enjoyable way to get fit. I currently am trying to get to Ranger Battalion and my pt is not up to par (265). Not only would I learn how to fight but could this school help me out a lot with getting to the Ranger level of fitness? I am not overweight by any means. I just get bored real easy with the weight lifting routine. Let me know sir!

What is your women’s program like? Is it different than the men’s? Does it have different training times? Any info would be appreciated. Trying to get my hubby to give me Jiu Jitsu classes for Christmas this year. 😉 I took a self defense course that was taught by an Army Combatives instructor and he really got me interested in learning Jiu Jitsu.
